Statement by Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz

“We said that by Thursday this thing will end, and as promised, the Four Amigos have brought an end to the stalemate that has paralyzed the New York State legislature for weeks. The Amigos have brought Senator Pedro Espada back to the Democratic Conference where we prevail in the majority.

On behalf of my fellow Amigos, Senator Carl Kruger and Senator Hiram Monserrate, I congratulate Senator Pedro Espada for committing himself to the Democratic Conference so that the New York State Senate can continue to legislate and vote on bills that matter to the people of the great State of New York.

I pray to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we will not have to go through this again.”
