NYS Senator Eric Adams announces that S7275, legislation known as the “POW-MIA flag bill,” has passed in the Senate. The bill requires the NYS Capitol to fly the Prisoner Of War – Missing In Action Flag whenever the U.S. flag is flown.
NYS Senator Eric Adams states: “This legislation was crafted both in honor of those individuals who have served our nation and were either captured or lost and the families of those brave men and women. The POW-MIA flag was designed originally in tribute to Vietnam War POWs and MIAs, and it has now become a symbol revered by all veterans. The New York State Senate has affirmed that the courageous men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect democracy will never be forgotten.”
