Birthdays at River Park Towers!

Senator Serrano and Assemblywoman Gibson celebrate the opening Celebrating the Birthdays of the River Park Towers Community Senator Serrano celebrates with Clarita Smith, 99 yrs, and Louise Mitchell, 106 yrs.

Senator Serrano joined Assemblymember Vanessa Gibson on Tuesday November 12th, in celebrating the opening of the Morris Heights Edu-cational Complex, which includes P 723X and PS 204X. The complex opened in September, and includes a full size gym, auditorium and a state of the art library.

“This is a great day for all the teachers, parents and students living in the Bronx as we open the new home for PS 204,” said Senator Serrano. “I am extremely proud that
Serrano Commemorates the Opening of New Education Buildings the children attending these schools will now be able to enjoy a new gymnasium, auditorium, library, computer lab, and art room, among other wonderful facilities and abundant resources.”

The new buildings have put the department of Education on track to add nearly 100,000 new school seats across the City by 2013, reducing over-crowding in schools and ensuring that stu-dents have the oppor-tunity to learn in modern facilities.
