MONROE COUNTY SCHEDULES H1N1 CLINIC

Residents of all ages can be vaccinated

The Monroe County Department of Public Health will hold another H1N1 clinic on

February 23, 2010. The clinic is open to all persons aged 6 months and older,

regardless of health condition. There is no charge for the vaccination.

“Getting vaccinated is still an important and wise thing to do. While local flu levels

have been low the past few weeks, infectious disease experts are divided as to

whether it will return,” said Dr. Andrew Doniger, Health Director. “It’s far better to

get vaccinated and to be protected, than not and be down with the flu for a week or

two,” Doniger added.

An H1N1 clinic, open to all residents 6 months of age and older, will be held

Tuesday, February 23, 2 p.m. – 7 p.m., at the Dome Center, 2695 E. Henrietta

Road.

Monroe County residents seeking information on H1N1 can:

• Call 753-5600 (Option 3) for clinic locations and times

• Visit MonroeCounty.Gov/health for clinic locations and times

• Call the New York State Health Department 24/7 Hotline at 1-800-808-1987

(this number will not have clinic locations but can answer all other H1N1

questions).
