Senator Kenneth P. LaValle joined the Governor as well as state, federal, and local officials in celebrating the groundbreaking for the Parrish Art Museum’s new facility on Montauk Highway in Watermill. The building is expected to be completed in 2012 and will be economically and environmentally sustainable. In addition to special exhibitions and permanent collection galleries, the new 34,500 square-foot museum will feature educational and multi-purpose spaces where visitors can engage in hands-on studio classes, attend concerts, dance performances, poetry readings, talks, and film screenings. For more information on the museum and its offerings you may visit their web site at www.parrishart.org or call 631-283-2118.
