Senator Golden Allocates $1.2 Million to Support Local Schools

Brooklyn - State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that he has awarded $1.2 million in capital funding to six schools in his district.

Senator Golden has awarded $200,000 to the following schools in Districts 20, 21 and 22 including Public School 215, Intermediate School 278, Public School 112, Intermediate School 187, Public School 104 and Public School 185. The capital grants have been allocated to each school to support a variety of projects including labs, various infrastructure projects, and computers.

Senator Golden stated, “I am proud to have been able to allocate this funding to support six of our local schools. As both a member of the New York City Council, and now as a member of the State Senate, I have stood as a constant supporter of our local schools. I believe there is nothing more important than providing our teachers with the ability to utilize the most modern equipment and technology to educate the children of our community.”

Senator Golden continued, “This funding is an investment in our future. I look forward to seeing these upgrades happen, so that our children can be best prepared as they continue their education and then enter the work force. Great schools help to keep a community strong, and I will continue to look to support programs at our schools that will keep our neighborhood strong.”
