OLEAN – “There is no more urgent need than to grow the economy, and create jobs to get people back to work and have career opportunities so our youth don't have to leave after they graduate. SUNY 2020 fuels an economic engine that will help turn our state around. We will be better able to compete in the global marketplace through technology and innovation while keeping SUNY tuition rational and affordable,” said Senator Catharine Young (R,C,I-Olean).
“Senators Grisanti, Maziarz and Ranzenhofer fought tirelessly to make SUNY 2020 a reality for Western New York. It was at the top of our Senate priority list, ranking alongside the property tax cap and a fiscally sound and on-time state budget. I commend Governor Cuomo for believing in the potential of SUNY 2020, and for having the vision to infuse much needed investment that will produce a more promising future for our region and the state,” Senator Young said.
