Senator Fuschillo & Senator Skelos Congratulate Baldwin Girls Basketball Team

            Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Senator Dean G. Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) recently visited Baldwin High School to congratulate the Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team on winning the Long Island Class AA championship.

            This was the team’s first Long Island championship, which they captured by defeating Deer Park High School by a score of 44-31. Baldwin finished their championship season with a record of 20 wins against only one loss. 

Senator Fuschillo and Senator Skelos presented the team with copies of a legislative resolution they sponsored, which was passed by the State Senate, in honor of the team’s championship season. With passage of the resolution, the team’s coaches and athletes will forever have their names and accomplishment be part of the official record of the New York State Senate.
