Senator Fuschillo to Sponsor No Out-of-Pocket Cost Prostate Cancer Screening Program in Lindenhurst

            Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with South Nassau Communities Hospital, will be sponsoring a no out-of-pocket cost prostate cancer screening program on Wednesday, June 8^th in Lindenhurst.  

            Screenings will be conducted on June 8^th between 4 and 7 pm at the Lindenhurst Library, which is located at 1 Lee Avenue in Lindenhurst.   

            All men are welcome to get screened as part of the program, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. Screenings will include a PSA blood test. Men who will be getting screened must bring with them a photo ID containing an address, such as a driver’s license, as well as the name and address of their primary physician. Participants and their physicians will be notified of the exam results. There is no out-of-pocket cost to participate in the program. 

            Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted. Screening appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Men who would like to schedule an appointment should call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
