On Sunday, November 13, State Senator Eric Adams, Assemblyman Dov Hikind and Civil Rights Attorney Norman Siegel held a press conference and led a tolerance walk to denounce the anti-Semitic hate crime that occurred in the Midwood section of Brooklyn.
The tolerance walk started on Ocean Parkway and Avenue J and ended at Ocean Parkway and Kings Highway. More than 100 people, which included elected officials, concerned residents of the Midwood community, and other New Yorkers, walked hand-in-hand to take a stand against the recent car burnings and swastika hate crimes.
