Senator Ball Opens District Office

BREWSTER, NY (1/22/2011) – At a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, joined by dozens of constituents and local officials throughout Senate District 40, Senator Greg Ball officially opened the State Senate District 40 Office.
 
“This is a great community that we live in. It could be better if New York State Government would get out of the way,” Ball said. “Everybody who is here today, and everybody who is not here today, let's all work together to make this the best year we ever had in the State of New York, to build the most beautiful communities we possibly can, and do it because we have been entrusted with the public's work and with God's work, and we have a finite opportunity on this Earth to prove ourselves to the best of our ability.”
 
The Grand Opening was held from 9:00AM to Noon, with Senator Ball meeting with constituents throughout the morning. The offices were also blessed by Father Tom Lutz of Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, NY.
 
Local elected and appointed officials who joined Senator Ball to open the District Office included Assemblyman Robert J. Castelli, Assemblyman Dr. Steven Katz, Putnam County Executive Paul Eldridge, Putnam County Sheriff Donald Donald B. Smith, Town of Kent Supervisor Kathy Doherty, Town of Carmel Supervisor Ken Schmitt, Town of Lewisboro Supervisor Charles Duffy, Town of Southeast Supervisor Michael Rights, Putnam County Legislator Anthony DiCarlo, Putnam County Legislator Carl Albano, Putnam County Legislator Dan Birmingham, Yorktown Councilman Nick Bianco, Patterson Councilman Joe Capasso, Southeast Councilman Robert Cullen, Southeast Councilwoman Elizabeth Hudak, Southeast Councilman Dwight Yee, Kent Councilman John Greene, Putnam County Commissioner of Elections Anthony Scannapieco, Jr., Orange County Republican Committee Chairman William DeProspo, Philipstown Republican Chairwoman Terry Polhemus, and Walt Thompson from the Putnam Division of Environmental Health Services.
