Queens, NY, January 13, 2011 – NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. released the following statement on this
week's City Council hearing on the administration's response to the December 26-27 blizzard:
"I commend Speaker Quinn and Chairs Crowley, James, Vallone and Williams for their excellent work at the City Council
Hearing on the December snowstorm. I also appreciate the administration’s taking responsibility for not declaring a
snow emergency on the morning of December 26, and I am hopeful that the administration will implement their new
15-point plan for any future storm that approaches us this winter. I believe if a snow emergency is declared
early enough, it will be the catalyst for their ability to respond appropriately."
