Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) and Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-C, 60th District) welcomed Xaverian High School students, along with their teacher Marianne Teta, to the State Capitol in Albany on Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
The students were given a Capitol tour, had a chance to have lunch with the legislators and discuss issues facing our community, City and State, and were seated in the gallery and watched the New York State Senate in session.
“We were proud to have welcomed the future leaders of our neighborhood to Albany to get an opportunity to see government in action. We had an interesting dialogue about some issues that are on the minds on these Xaverian students and we encouraged them to be successful in school and to become involved in civic organizations and efforts,” the legislators jointly noted following the visit.
