Senator Golden and Gerritsen Beach Property Owners Association to Host Town Hall to Aid Victims of Hurricane Irene

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) and the Gerritsen Beach Property Owners Association are announcing that they will welcome officials of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection for a town hall meeting on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cort Club, located at 2648 Gerritsen Avenue.
The meeting will be an opportunity for area homeowners and residents that have incurred damage to their property during Hurricane Irene to discuss the possibility of filing a claim with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “I am proud to host this meeting so that the Federal Emergency Management Agency can help the residents of Gerritsen Beach, Sheepshead Bay and Marine Park rebuild from Hurricane Irene. The storm caused many homeowners significant damage and I encourage those who qualify to apply for the federal aid available.”
