Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), a founding member of the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade, gave the following statement:
“It is with great pride that I join in applauding the selection of Monsignor Kevin Noone as the Grand Marshal of the 2012 Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Like myself, Monsignor Noone is a graduate of Our Lady of Angels, and it has been a pleasure to have him as Pastor of our native parish since 2009. I cannot think of a better person to be the Grand Marshal of the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and I wish Monsignor Kevin Noone all the best and look forward to marching alongside of him as the best of Bay Ridge will be on display that Sunday afternoon.”
Msgr. Kevin Noone is graduate of Our Lady of Angels, St. Francis Xavier High School, and The Friars of the Holy Name Seminary. He served his first Mass at Our Lady of Angels, and after serving in multiple parishes in Brooklyn and Queens, he was given his first pastoral assignment in 1989 at St. Gabriel of Elmhurst. He returned to Our Lady of Angels in 2009.
