Over Two Dozen Residents Take Advantage of Government in their Backyard

State Senator Patty Ritchie brought her “Mobile District Office” to Hannibal, Oswego County, where she met with over two dozen local residents and offered help dealing with issues related to state government.

The senator launched the “Mobile District Office” program earlier this year to provide an opportunity for people who need help with state agencies but who cannot visit her Oswego office during regular business hours to meet with her and her staff.

“Sometimes, it’s tough for people to take time away from work or family obligations,” Senator Ritchie said. “That’s why I am bringing my office and my staff to the people I represent.”

“I think it’s critical that we find new ways to help people obtain the help they need with their state government,” Senator Ritchie said. “My mobile office program has helped me reach more people by giving me another opportunity to visit with them and talk about what they feel  I need to know about the issues facing their communities.”

The Hannibal mobile office visit is the third in Senator Ritchie’s ongoing program. She will bring her mobile office to Pulaski’s H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse on Sept. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m.
