The free event is being held Saturday, April 28 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Queensbury Activity Center located at 742 Bay Road.
The main entrance to the Activity Center is located on the backside of the Activity Center. When you arrive at 742 Bay Road, please make sure you pull behind the main Town Hall building and proceed to the far left, up an incline; this is the main entrance for the Activity Center.
Senator Betty Little is cosponsoring the event with the Queensbury Senior Citizens, Inc. and encouraging area constituents to take advantage of this unique opportunity to talk with area health care providers and agencies about services and programs to keep us healthy.
More than a dozen vendors will be available to discuss various health care issues and options. These include: Glens Falls Regional Celiac Support Group; Glens Falls Association for the Blind; Warren County Health Services; Center for Better Hearing; The Natural Health Improvement Center; Adirondack Cardiology a service of Glens Falls Hospital; High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care; Warren/Hamilton Counties Office for the Aging; PA Medical Supply, Inc.; North Country AARP Chapter #3891; Neighbors, NY; and Hannaford Pharmacy.
Free services include hearing, blood pressure, glaucoma and body mass index (BMI) screenings.
Free healthy snacks will be provided throughout the day courtesy of Queensbury Wal-Mart, Queensbury Hannaford, Queensbury Price Chopper, Queensbury Panera Breads and Sokol’s Market.
