Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick, pictured right) recently congratulated Bellmore resident David Zeldin (pictured left) on being reappointed to the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council. Mr. Zeldin was reappointed to the Council by Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos at the recommendation of Senator Fuschillo.
“David Zeldin is a knowledgeable, dedicated, and highly qualified professional who brings over four decades of experience to his position. I congratulate him on being reappointed to the Security Guard Advisory Council and thank him for his continued service,” said Senator Fuschillo.
The New York State Security Guard Advisory Council provides recommendations to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services with regard to the training, qualification, and registration requirements for security guards; certification of private security training schools; minimum courses of training provided by these schools; and the minimum qualifications to become an instructor at a security training school or program.
David Zeldin has spent more than 40 years working throughout the investigation, law enforcement, and security fields. He has held leadership positions in a number of professional organizations, including the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State, ASIS International, and the National Council of Investigation and Security Services. Mr. Zeldin was also one of the first Certified New York State Security Guard Instructors and has served as an adjunct professor at Long Island University.
