Senator Fuschillo Congratulates Kennedy Science Students on Earning National Recognition in Intel-Science Talent Search

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently congratulated Kennedy High School science students Ross Iscowitz, Brett Gossett, and Ross Shulman on being named semi-finalists in the 2012 Intel Science Talent Search.
“After countless hours of hard work, research, and study under the guidance of their teachers, Ross, Brett, and Ross earned a place among the nation’s premier young scientists. This is an incredible honor and a wonderful reward for three students who worked tirelessly to achieve their goal. I congratulate them on this accomplishment and wish them all the best in the future,” said Senator Fuschillo.
The Intel Science Talent Search is the nation’s most prestigious pre-college science competition. Participants come from all across the country, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands to compete in the program. Ross, Brett, and Ross were three of only 300 national semifinalists chosen from entries nationwide.
Senator Fuschillo also presented Ross, Brett, and Ross with copies of legislative resolutions he sponsored, which were passed by the State Senate, honoring their accomplishments. With passage of the resolutions, the three students’ names and achievements will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
