Senator Fuschillo Congratulates Merrick Resident on Appointment to Statewide Advisory Board on Tobacco Prevention

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently congratulated Merrick resident Dr. Donald Teplitz on being appointed to the Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Advisory Board. Dr. Teplitz was appointed by Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos at the recommendation of Senator Fuschillo.
The Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Advisory Board advises the New York State Commissioner of Health on tobacco use prevention and control issues, including methods to prevent and reduce tobacco use in the state.
Dr. Teplitz brings a wealth of professional experience to the position. He is a board certified family physician that has been practicing for over 25 years. He is the Director of Family Practice Department at Mercy Medical Center, as well as the Medical Director at Minute Clinic-CVS. Dr. Teplitz is also a board member of the New York State Office of Professional Conduct. Additionally, Dr. Teplitz has a private practice, Bellmore Family Medical Associates, which has been serving the Bellmore community for nearly 20 years.
