Senator Fuschillo to Sponsor No Out-of-Pocket Cost Prostate Cancer Screening Program in Freeport

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with South Nassau Communities Hospital, will be sponsoring a no out-of-pocket cost prostate cancer screening program on Wednesday, September 12th in Freeport.
Screenings will be conducted on September 12th between 4 and 7 pm at the Freeport Recreation Center, which is located at 130 East Merrick Road in Freeport.
All men are welcome to get screened as part of the program, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. Screenings will include a PSA blood test. Men who will be getting screened must bring with them a photo ID containing an address, such as a driver’s license, as well as the name and address of their primary physician. Participants and their physicians will be notified of the exam results. There is no out-of-pocket cost to participate in the program.
Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted. Screening appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Men who would like to schedule an appointment should call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
