Senator Golden and Maimonides Medical Center Partner to Host Cardiac Health and Stroke Prevention Symposium

Brooklyn – State Senator Marty Golden hosted a Cardiac Health and Stroke Prevention Symposium attended by almost 250 people, in conjunction with Maimonides Medical Center, last night at SS Simon and Jude Parish Elementary School Auditorium located at 294 Avenue T.

 

Speakers included Dr. Razvan Buciuc, Chief of Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology, Dr. Robert Rhee, Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Dr. Greg Ribakove, Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Dr. Steven Rudolph, Director of Stroke Medicine.

 

Senator Golden stated, "I thank Maimonides Medical Center for partnering with me to present this important health forum. I know that those who attended found the event the to be informative and I hope that they will share what they learned with their family and friends. Education is key to our health and I continue to offer opportunities to help the residents of my district stay in the best of health."

 

Senator Golden announced free mammography screenings scheduled for October 31st and November 1st at the Symposium. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling Senator Golden's office at (718) 238-6044.
