Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today hosted a press conference outside Valentino Fashion, located at 7718-5th Avenue, so to continue to bring awareness and ask for the public's help and to solve the murder of Mohammed Gebeli who was killed on July 6th.
Senator Golden was joined at the press conference by members of the Gebeli Family and by 5th Avenue business leader Habib Joudeh. Both have contributed $5000 to fund a reward in the amount of $10,000 posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer.
Senator Golden stated, “We need to solve this case and we need the public’s help to see that happen. We need to get this killer off our streets. Mr. Gebeli was a father, a husband and a neighbor. His life was cut short and now, we must make sure that justice is served so that he did not die in vain.”
Golden continued, “This was an incident that has destroyed a family, and has shocked a business community and everyone in the neighborhood. I trust that the New York City Police Department will continue to thoroughly investigate this murder and any leads available. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Gebeli family”
