SENATOR GOLDEN INVITES COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE AMERICA’S INDEPENDENCE AT ANNUAL 4th OF JULY PICNIC

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that the 5th Annual Greater Bay Ridge 4th of July Picnic will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the park field located at 82nd Street and Shore Road.
The event will feature music by 8 live bands, face painters, games, prizes, rides for the kids, gift and dinner raffles, 50/50 Raffles and more. Those who will be attending can bring their own picnic basket or purchase from the barbecue a variety of items such as hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage, drinks, snacks, ice cream and more.
Proceeds to benefit the 68th Precinct Youth Council, Southwest Brooklyn Parks Task Force, and BRAVO Volunteer Ambulance Service.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “As we celebrate our Nation, our citizens, and our liberties, on this, the 236th Birthday of America, I invite the community to the 5th Annual Fourth of July Picnic. I hope that you will join with your friends and family to celebrate and the neighborhood’s birthday party we are having for America.”
