SENATOR GOLDEN URGES BROOKLYN RESIDENTS TO COOL OFF AT 4th ANNUAL ICE CREAM EATING CONTEST

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) and Maria “The Ice Cream Girl” Campanella, are inviting local residents to participate and cool off at the 4th Annual Ice Cream Eating Contest this Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at L & B Spumoni Gardens, located at 2725-86th Street in Brooklyn.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “Who doesn’t love ice cream and who doesn’t love Spumoni Gardens? I look forward to the competition Sunday of the contestants vying to win the 4th Annual Ice Cream Eating Contest. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon and take a break from the summer heat. And if you don’t want to compete, be there to watch the contest.”
Those wishing to participate in the contest must be 18 years of age or older and have valid identification. Participants must not have had or currently have any allergies to nuts, nut oil, milk or milk products, and must sign a waiver and release form and abide by all rules and regulations.
