SBPLI Receives Motorola Solutions Grant For Long Island FIRST Robotics Program

Senator Owen H. Johnson was honored at the 3rd Annual Fred Breithut Memorial Golf Tournament at the Wind Watch Golf & Country Club in Hauppauge on September 20, 2012.  School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc (SBPLI) extended heartfelt gratitude for   Senator Johnson’s many years of support of the Long Island For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics Program.

At the tournament, Senator Johnson was pleased to join with SBPLI Executive Director Joani Madarash and Chairman Hans Zobel as SBPLI received a $25,000 grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc. 

The grant will ensure that SBPLI will be able to continue to host the Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), which hosts 50 schools from Long Island, the metropolitan New York area and other states.
