McDonald Named 2012 Legislative Champion by National Alliance on Mental Illness-NYS

Albany - Senator Roy McDonald was recognized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness - New York State as the 2012 Legislative Champion for his work as Chairman of the New York State Senate Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee.

"It's an honor to be recognized by such an outstanding organization that works diligently to help individuals with mental illness and their families. Our job as elected officials is to assist these organizations in their efforts and make sure that individuals are able to come their mental health issues. I'm humbled to recieve this award but must also make sure to note that this is a team effort," said Senator McDonald.
