Senator Fuschillo & State Police to Sponsor Free Child Safety Seat Check in Lindenhurst

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that he will be partnering with the New York State Police to sponsor a free child safety seat check on Saturday, August 17th in Lindenhurst.

     The free child seat safety check will be held from 9 am to 1 pm at Babylon Town Hall, located at 200 East Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst. Officers from the New York State Police will be performing free safety seat inspections to make sure that drivers have their children’s car seats properly installed and secured.

     Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children in the United States, but placing children in properly installed age and size appropriate safety seats reduces serious and fatal injuries by more than half, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
