Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently welcomed the members of Boy Scout Pack 539 Den #9 to his Smithtown office to assist them in achieving their goal of attaining their Citizenship Badges. During the meeting, the fourth graders and Senator Flanagan discussed his role as a state legislator and how the New York State government works.
"Scouting is a great way for young boys to learn about the world they live in and it was enjoyable to help these young men achieve their goal. I truly enjoyed their visit to my office and enjoyed playing a small role in their efforts,” said Senator Flanagan about his talk with (from left to right) Sean Weidner, Kevin Morris, Thomas Mach, Alex Koliner and Matthew Loglisci.
