Golden Gets Action on Abandoned Ridge Boulevard Property

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that in response to his complaint made to the New York City Department of Housing and Preservation Development, nine non-emergency Class B violations have been issued to the property at 7701 Ridge Boulevard.

The violations cite the accumulation of refuse, rubbish and poorly maintained conditions on the property, as well as violations to repair the waste water line, abate the evidence of a water leak on the ceilings and walls, the need to replace electrical, repair locks on doors, floors and more. Senator Marty Golden stated, “I thank the New York City Department of Housing, Preservation and Development for their thorough inspection of this property that has been an eyesore for area residents. The owner has until September 11, 2013 to make these corrections and improvements, and I look forward to a cleaner, better maintained property here in our neighborhood.”

Golden continued, “It is wrong for a property owner to leave a house in such terrible condition. It effects the quality of life of their neighbors and the whole community.”
