Sets Plans to Honor Those Who Have Made Outstanding Contributions
Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing plans to host a community celebration of Women’s History Month, and has selected nine honorees who have made outstanding contributions to our neighborhood.
Senator Golden has set his annual Women’s History Month celebration for Thursday, March 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, Council #126, located at 3051 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn.
This year’s honorees include:
*Judy Baron, Manhattan Beach Community Group
*Ann Marie Bartone, Principal, St. Ephrem's School
*Linda Cupo, Gerritsen Beach Property Owners
*Linda Dalton, Community Education Council District 21
*Cathy Gearity, Bay Ridge Semper Fi 5K
*Maggie Gu, Park Asia
*Maria Ivaliotis, Marine Park Civic
*Tracy LaTorre Ambrose, Gerritsen Beach Volunteer Fire Department
*Bina Valenzano, 3rd Avenue Merchants
“As our City, State and Nation celebrate the accomplishments of women during the month of March, I am proud to be hosting an event that will highlight some of the best of our community. Each of these women have made a difference in our neighborhood and I look forward to recognizing their work,” said Senator Marty Golden.
