Warrant Officer Romanitch Inducted IntoThe State Senate Veterans Hall Of Fame
Albany, New York – Senator Phil Boyle (R-Bay Shore) honored Warrant Officer Francis H. Romanitch as part of the New York State Senate Veteran’s Hall of Fame Honoree Celebration on May 21, 2013.
A West Babylon native, Warrant Officer Romanitch enlisted in the Selected Marine Corps Reserve upon graduating from high school in 2003. He served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where his efforts ensured that anti-terrorism equipment remained fully functional. Warrant Officer Romanitch has received numerous awards and citations in recognition of his exceptional service and is currently serving at the United State Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to recognize Warrant Officer Francis Romanitch for his service. He is an outstanding example of leadership, honor, and integrity,” said Senator Boyle. “His contributions, both overseas and at home, have helped make our country a better place to live and have made our community proud.”
Warrant Officer Romanitch is known among members of his community for his honesty, integrity and loyalty. He has been a member of the Babylon Post 94 of The American Legion for eight years, where he helps recruit members to the Post and assists with coordinating annual Toys for Tots Campaigns.
The Senate honored distinguished veterans from throughout the state at a ceremony, where each honoree’s photograph and biography became part of a special exhibit proclaiming the contributions of these exemplary New York veterans.
The New York State Veteran’s Hall of Fame was created to honor and recognize outstanding veterans from the Empire State who have distinguished themselves both in military and civilian life. Their meritorious service to our nation deserves the special recognition that only a Hall of Fame can provide, as a fitting expression of our gratitude and admiration.
