Green City Force, a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) partner, is now recruiting NYCHA residents to participate in their stipend college preparation and green job training program - the Clean Energy Corps!

Green City Force is open to NYCHA residents between the ages of 18-24 with a High School Diploma or GED. Clean Energy Corps members develop academic skills needed to prepare for college and employment skills, through a full-time, six-month training and public service program. For young adults interested in pursuing a college education, Green City Force provides you with academic training to pass the CUNY Assessment Test and actively supports you through your first year of college. For those interested in career opportunities within the growing environmental industry, Green City Force offers you the hands-on work experience, technical training and job readiness skills you need to compete for emerging green jobs in today's competitive job market.
Clean Energy Corps members in training receive:
Extensive hands-on experience
Up to $500 bi-weekly stipend
$2,675 AmeriCorps educational award upon program completion
Monthly Metro Cards
Case management and supportive services
College placement assistance
Tracking and active support through the first year of college
Job placement assistance
Access to Green City Force's alumni association.
