Nazi War Camp Liberator Honored in Albany

Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) inducted Nanuet native Al Moskin into the Senate's Veteran's Hall of Fame. The New York State Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame was created to honor and recognize outstanding veterans from the Empire State who have distinguished themselves both in military and civilian life.

Senator Carlucci said, "The service our Veterans give to our nation deserves the special recognition that only a Hall of Fame can provide, as a fitting expression of our gratitude and admiration. Alan Moskin, a resident from Nanuet, is my 2014 inductee into the New York State Veteran's Hall of Fame. Al saw the atrocities of the Holocaust first hand when he sacrificed everything to liberate Nazi death camps in WWII."

Senator Carlucci continued, "I want to personally thank Alan Moskin and all of our veterans who continue to tell their stories of that time to ensure the next generation understands and prevents genocide from ever happening again."

Alan Moskin said, "I want to thank Senator Carlucci and the New York State Senate for taking time to recognize our veterans. I look forward to working with Senator Carlucci to make sure we never forget and learn from the atrocities during WWII."
