MONIES TO HELP FUND NEW POOL PROJECT, INCREASES QUALITY OF LIFE FOR COMMUNITY
Senator John Bonacic (R/I/C – Mt. Hope) announces that he has secured $250,000 in funding from the New York State Economic Development Program for the Town of Rosendale, Ulster County. The monies will be used to replace the current pool which has been deemed unsafe to operate due to deterioration of its exterior shell, plumbing and piping, and high levels of water leakage. The pool’s bathhouse will also see improvements in its showers and toilet facilities, which will be open and available to those visiting the nearby rail trails.
“I want to express a heartfelt thank you on behalf of the residents of Rosendale and our neighbors for looking out for our community,” said Jeanne L. Walsh, Rosendale Town Supervisor. “Our pool has always provided recreation, not only to the people of our town, but to visitors and residents of the neighboring towns, making our pool and Recreation Center more of a county-wide service.”
“I am so pleased to help the Town of Rosendale with this much needed pool project,” said Senator Bonacic, “Improving a town pool not only creates a safe and desirable attraction for families, but provides activities for seniors, and young adults. This will offer a place for the community to come together and cool off on those hot summer days.” ###
