Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team to Play First Game Ever in Nyc This Weekend

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team will take the field for the first time ever in New York City this Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Shore Road Park (enter at 79th Street and Shore Road), starting with the opening ceremonies at Noon.
The first game is set for 1:00 p.m. when the WWAST takes on the Bay Ridge All Star Sluggers, and the second game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. against NYC first responders and NYC Army Recruiters
The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team has a mission to raise awareness, through softball games and exhibition, of the sacrifices and the resilience of the military. All team players have been injured in action.
Senator Golden has been instrumental in arranging for this amazing team to play in New York City.
