Senator Gallivan Provides Storm Related Information

Western New York continues to recover from record breaking snowfall. While the area has dug out from the heavy snow, the aftermath of the storm is still being felt.
Senator Gallivan surveyed storm damage throughout the 59th Senate District and met with county, town and village leaders as well as residents. He will continue to monitor the ongoing recovery effort and update communities and residents.
The following state agencies are available to provide assistance.
- If you have questions about making an insurance claim, contact your insurance carrier or call the New York Insurance Association at 518-432-4227.
- Insurance issues may also be addressed to the New York State Department of Financial Services at 1-800-339-1759.
- If you have complaints about price gouging related to the storm, call the New York State Attorney General’s office at 800-771-7755.
- For local flood related issues, call the WNY Flood Helpline at 888-769-7243
- For employment issues related to the storm, call the New York State Department of Labor at 888-209-8124.
- If you are feeling distressed and need someone to talk to in the aftermath of the storm, call the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990.
