Governor Cuomo delivered his views on the state of the state, now it's your turn ~ see Senator O'Mara's '2014 Community, Jobs and Economy Survey'

Albany, N.Y., January 9—With a new session of the State Legislature underway following Governor Andrew Cuomo's State of the State message yesterday, Senator Tom O’Mara (R-C, Big Flats) announced today that he has launched an online “2014 Community, Jobs and Economy Survey” that invites area residents to share their own views on many of the key economic, fiscal and other challenges facing the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions, and all of New York State this year. 

The governor's State of the State address is the traditional kickoff to the annual legislative session.  Governor Cuomo delivered his fourth message to a joint session of the state Senate and Assembly in Albany yesterday [see Senator O'Mara's reaction HERE].

O’Mara’s online “2014 Community, Jobs and Economy Survey” offers an opportunity for local residents to share their own opinions on many of this year’s economic and fiscal debates, as well on other specific issues including hydrofracking, the NY SAFE Act, Common Core and mandate relief.  

It also asks respondents their opinion on the Cuomo administration plan to close the Monterey Shock Incarceration Correctional Facility in Schuyler County this year.  

“This online survey provides another avenue to encourage local input on a number of the key economic, fiscal and other challenges facing our region and the state as a whole in 2014.  I’m always grateful for the input,” said O’Mara, whose 58th Senate District includes all of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates counties, and part of Tompkins County (the city of Ithaca, and the towns of Enfield, Ithaca, Newfield, and Ulysses).
