Senator Carlucci Announces Conference of Italian American Legislators 2015 Scholarship Program

As President of the Italian-American Conference of Legislators, Senator David Carlucci has announced that his office is now accepting applications for $10,000 worth of athletic and academic scholarships that will be awarded by the Italian-American Conference of legislators in June of 2015.
The criteria for all scholarships is as follows:
Applicants for the athletic scholarships should only apply if:
- have demonstrated a grade point average of 85 and over,
- have good conduct and demonstrate the dedication to pursue and complete a higher education degree,
- are involved in an organized sport(s),
- are active in community service and extracurricular activities, and
- can demonstrate financial need.
To apply applicants are asked to attach the following:
- A brief biography listing honors received, volunteer service activities, clubs, extracurricular activities, etc.
- A brief outline of your athletic achievements.
- A brief outline of your financial need.
- A school transcript indicating your GPA(incoming freshman must provide a high school transcript and college acceptance letter).
Applicants for the academic scholarships should only apply if they:
- have demonstrated a grade point average of 85 and over,
- have good conduct and demonstrate the dedication to pursue and complete a higher education degree,
- are active in community service and extracurricular activities, and
- can demonstrate financial need.
To apply applicants are asked to attach the following:
- A brief biography listing honors received, volunteer service activities, clubs, extracurricular activities, etc.
- A brief outline of your educational goals.
- A brief outline of your financial need.
- A brief essay (500 words) on a current public issue of interest.
- A school transcript indicating your GPA(incoming freshman must provide a high school transcript and college acceptance letter).
