I’m pleased that the Senate took action tonight to extend the property tax cap and provide rebate checks to homeowners. While there is still work that needs to be done to lower our tax bills, this will help provide relief to our overburdened taxpayers.

We also passed important education reforms that will ensure our children are receiving the very best education possible and will help ease the frustration felt by students, parents and teachers by ensuring more transparency and fairness in standardized tests.
