SENATOR BONACIC APPLAUDS THE AWARDING OF $90.4 MILLION TO THE MID-HUDSON REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

(Middletown, NY)-Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council has been awarded $90.4 million in state funds, to put toward economic development projects throughout the region. The funds were announced at the Regional Economic Development Council awards ceremony, today, in Albany. The Regional Economic Development Council process splits the state into ten regions, with each submitting economic development plans for their respective territories.
“The awarding of this substantial amount of money is a testament to the hard work, and dedication of the members of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council,” said Senator Bonacic. “As a representative on the Council, I saw firsthand the quality of projects that were submitted, and I know that this money will be put to good use, to continue to grow the economy and create jobs in the Mid-Hudson Region.”
The counties that are included in the Mid-Hudson Region are; Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess, Ulster, Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam.
