Statement from Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos

"My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims of the terrible Metro North tragedy that occurred last night in Westchester County.  I have been in touch with Senator Murphy, whose district includes Valhalla, and have communicated our desire to help in any way possible.  We will continue to monitor the situation in the days and weeks ahead, and hope the upcoming investigation can shed light on exactly what happened and how we can prevent a similar incident from taking place again.  As a State, we must do more to ensure the safety of commuters who rely every day on this critical mode of transportation in New York City and its surrounding suburbs."
