“It is great news that the Village of Cattaraugus has received $3.6 million in Water Infrastructure Improvement Act funding, which I fought hard to secure in the state budget. Village residents and businesses have been relying on a singular source to meet their daily drinking water needs. Work can now move forward to fix leaking transmission pipes and make other critical repairs to the additional springs that supply drinking water to the community.
“Cattaraugus, like many other communities in our state, is confronted with costly infrastructure projects that need to be addressed without placing a greater burden on local property taxpayers, and I am proud of the Senate’s efforts to ensure this funding was available. I salute Governor Cuomo for his commitment to our region.”
