Sen. Valesky attended the New York State Department of Transportation’s (DOT) celebration on Nov. 28, 2016 of the completion of a $1.5 million project to restore the old New York Central Railroad station platform by Interstate 690 in Syracuse. The project replaced the concrete deck of the 560-foot-long platform, removed rust from roof columns, painted the columns and the back wall of the platform, and installed a new, lightweight roof.
