Senator John A. DeFrancisco's third annual electronics recycling event collected nearly 144,000 pounds of electronics, thanks to support from members of the Liverpool Boys Basketball program.  To help recognize the team’s outstanding volunteer efforts, Senator DeFrancisco presented a check for $1,147.00 before the start of Liverpool’s varsity home basketball game on January 22, 2016.

Senator DeFrancisco, in partnership with Time Warner Cable and Sunnking, sponsored the electronics recycling event at the Town of Clay Municipal Building on September 19, 2015.  The event allowed hundreds of Clay residents to safely dispose of their unwanted electronics - including computers, televisions and radios - at no cost to them.

“All of the players, parents and staff from the Liverpool Boys Basketball program worked extremely hard to help unload large amounts of electronics from a constant stream of vehicles.  I was very proud of their efforts, and I can’t thank them enough for giving back to their community, while also helping to protect our environment,” said Senator DeFrancisco.

The check was issued by Sunnking, an EPA certified recycler. It reflects a portion of the proceeds generated during the electronics recycling event that Senator DeFrancisco sponsored in the Town of Clay last September, in partnership with Time Warner Cable.
