New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with members of the Tobacco Action Coalition of the Finger Lakes at the State Capitol. During their visit, the group discussed the importance of a tobacco free community to the health and well-being of residents in the Finger Lakes Region. The Tobacco Action Coalition is a grassroots alliance of local agencies and individuals working together to reduce the prevalence of tobacco use and to promote healthy communities.
“New York has one of the lowest smoking rates in the Nation and it is largely due to the success of organizations like the Tobacco Action Coalition,” said Senator Nozzolio. “It was a pleasure to meet with the Coalition, and to learn more about the many different programs and initiatives they are promoting to protect public health.”
