Senator Nozzolio Welcomes New York Academic Scholar Joshua Thorp to the State Capitol

Senator Mike Nozzolio recently welcomed New York Academic Scholar, and Finger Lakes Community College student, Joshua Thorp and his parents, during their visit to the State Capitol. Joshua was in Albany to receive the New York Academic Scholar award from USA Today and the National Academic Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa. 

“As State Senator, I believe very strongly that our young people will become the leaders of tomorrow and one of the greatest privileges I have is to recognize and honor students like Joshua who exemplify the highest standard of academic excellence and personal achievement,” said Senator Nozzolio. “I congratulate Joshua for his outstanding accomplishments and wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors.”
