A FRESH LOOK FOR HEUVELTON ON THE HARDWOOD: RITCHIE PRESENTS LADY BULLDOGS WITH NEW JERSEYS

State Senator Patty Ritchie joined the State Champion Heuvelton Lady Bulldogs basketball team last week, presenting the squad with new uniforms the district purchased with funds she helped secure.

“As an alum on Heuvelton High School, I couldn’t be prouder of the Lady Bulldogs and all they have accomplished,” said Senator Ritchie.

“Not only will these new uniforms help them look sharper on the court, they will also be able to keep the old uniforms they wore during the state title game as a memento of their championship win and a reminder that they have the ability to do great things when they work as a team.”

Funding used to purchase new uniforms for the Lady Bulldogs was part of $30,000 secured by Senator Ritchie to support athletics in the Heuvelton Central School District.  In addition to the new jerseys, funding is also being used for the following:

• New warm-ups and basketballs for the girls basketball team;
• New warm-ups, uniforms and basketballs for the boys basketball team;
• A new scoreboard and backlighting; and
• New uniforms for the district’s cheerleading squad
