Reminder: Ritchie to Host Oswego County Health and Wellness Fair Wednesday

State Senator Patty Ritchie is reminding Oswego County residents that her annual Senior Health and Wellness Fair will take place on Wednesday, September 21^st at the Fulton Community Ice Arena, located at 605 West Broadway in Fulton.

The free event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and will feature more than 50 exhibitors, health checks and flu shots (available with Medicare or insurance ID), entertainment and a no-cost lunch prepared by local culinary students.

In addition to exhibitors, law enforcement will also be on hand collecting expired or unwanted prescription medications from attendees.  Senator Ritchie encourages those looking to safely and responsibly “shed the meds,” to look for the drop off table located near the entrance to the event. 

“Every year, my Senior Health and Wellness Fairs offer our aging population opportunities to learn how they can become more healthy, enjoy a nutritious lunch and have some fun with friends,” said Senator Ritchie.

“I am looking forward to this week’s event and encourage any seniors who looking to access tips, tools or wellness checks that can help them to live a healthier lifestyle to attend Wednesday’s Fair.”
