Senator Phillips Announces Home Energy Assistance Program Funding Available Beginning November 13

Senator Phillips announced today that applications for home heating assistance for seniors, working families and low-and-moderate income residents will be accepted beginning next Monday, November 13.
“With the cold weather now upon us, I am encouraging eligible New York residents to apply for aid through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP),” said Senator Phillips. “This important federal program assists eligible households in meeting their home energy needs and helped over 65,000 Long Island residents last year.”
Applications for the 2017-18 winter season will be accepted starting Monday, November 13. The HEAP program is a limited, first-come-first-serve benefit until funding for the program runs out for the year.
